This Sox are super thick and warm. You feel like walking in a cloud. Kept moisture away and feel fabulous. No itch. I live in an area with -20f and they are wonderful. I ordered more for my boyfriend. They took a little long to arrive but worth the wait.

Perfect for cold weather! Would had love more elastic to hold the sock on the ankle though. Still great.

Needless to say I like my merino wool 30 below socks.
I have previously purchased lots of socks from Smart wool, Cabelas, Gander Mountain and others only their prices have moved up as their quality has moved down.
I love cold weather hiking and hunting am always looking for high quality socks. Apart from great comfort these socks are slightly loose fitting around the ankle and calf. A big plus for good circulation if you hike/hunt all day.

I like that they come in natural color.

I purchased two pairs of socks; both large. liked them so much that I then ordered a pair for each of my old time Friends from Kentucky.
I live in San Diego so we never see -30below but when one is used to perfect weather, 70's and 80's, when the weather gets in the upper 40's, I need these socks.
Both Friends live in much colder weather, I thought I would do them a favorite and order them a pair.
They both love the socks as do I! So soft and seem bulky but I can wear them in any of my shoes as the Merino wool compresses very nicely.

I have the "30 Below Classic" Merino Wool socks in both regular length and knee high length. I was drawn to these socks because of the Non Binding Top. The X-Hi Cushion sole does not add much bulk to the inside of my shoes/boots. It is too nearly in the fall/winter season but I anticipate their warmth. They are very comfortable and have no itch.

Really warm but as you may be able to see from photo, they are really big! I wear a womens size 8 shoe and they are supposed to fit womens size 5 to 9. I think they would fit my son's size 12 feet! Still kept them as they make great slippers over my other socks.

These socks are warm, comfortable and look very nice. I wear skirts and am using this with black booties and leg warmers. I feel toasty and tidy : )

Socks are great. Have not tried the -30 ones yet but it is coming as it gets cold in Ottawa in winter. Shipping was fast

These ones get 4 stars because while they are well padded, they want to stay behind in your boots when you pull your boots off and in the house they can be too warm. If you are looking for warm winter socks, these are good but I prefer more of a three season sock. Also, the stitching on the toe area can bunch up a bit if the sock twists a little on your foot. One thing to note about all the J.B. Field's socks I purchased is that while my shoe size is 9, I definitely need a medium in the sock. The top shoe size for medium is 9, the bottom shoe size for large is 9, but when I ordered some socks in large they were much too loose on my foot. Also, washing does not cause the socks to shrink so the large were too loose even after being washed. I gave the large socks to my husband and ordered medium thereafter.
